My entire life i’ve been exposed to what has been quoted as “the homosexual-heterosexual divide,” and in seeing this, i have developed an understanding that helps me navigate through life knowing what’s right and what’s wrong. When i first came to Out Now i was a closeted, 14-year old, lost teenager with little to no support and understanding of my sexuality and identity. Out Now has helped shape my life and lead it in a direction towards liberation and political understanding. Seven years later, and now i am staff, have gone through countless leadership trainings, a non-violent communication retreat and numerous youth leadership development retreats with other queer youth and adult leaders. Needless to say, i strive for reaching the revolution and helping our youth lead the way to liberation as my leaders have done with me.
